The Quicksilver

The strength

Mercury undiluted. Fast, funny, endlessly curious, able to hold a conversation with anyone about anything within four minutes of meeting them. You learn at a speed that looks like cheating.

The difficulty

Nine beginnings and no body of work. The boredom arrives at exactly the moment the thing would have become good, and you have learned to call that moving on.

In love

You fall for a mind. Talk is the whole courtship, and silence reads as distance. Given enough to think about, you are far more constant than your reputation.

At work

Words and signals: writing, media, teaching, sales, translation, anything moving information between people. Variety is not a perk for you, it is a requirement.
