All or nothing, and it means it. Scorpio does not do casual convincingly — even the light version is watching closely. Scorpio can read what someone is not saying within minutes, which is unnerving to be on the wrong end of and extraordinary to have on your side. It keeps secrets absolutely — including its own, sometimes past the point where holding them helps.

Drawn to whatever other people avoid: surgery, psychology, investigation, crisis work, research, finance, anything requiring nerve and a strong stomach. Scorpio is the best person in the building during an emergency and the hardest to manage during a calm quarter. It needs work with real stakes or it will manufacture some.

Scorpio rules the reproductive and eliminative systems — everything the body does with what it must release. The pattern to watch is holding: held anger, held grief, held secrets, all of which show up physically here before they show up in words. It has genuine recuperative power, and recovers from things that would flatten other signs.

The path is transformation, and it is not a metaphor — most Scorpio lives contain at least one clean break between a before and an after. What is asked is that it lets the old version actually die instead of guarding its grave. What is given in return is a capacity for renewal no other sign has.
