Leo

Leo loves generously and out loud, and asks for exactly one thing in return: to be seen. Not flattered — seen. It gives more than it takes and then quietly counts, so the resentment when it arrives has usually been building for a while. A partner who says the appreciative thing before being prompted gets an extraordinarily warm, loyal, protective love.

The organiser, the host, the one who remembers the birthday. Leo’s circle tends to form around it rather than the other way round. The shadow is needing the room to agree — a Leo can mistake disagreement for disloyalty, and the friendships that last are the ones allowed to argue.

Anything with an audience and a name on it: performance, leadership, teaching, design, sport, building something that carries a signature. Leo works hardest when the work is visibly its own. Put it behind a screen with no credit and the whole engine stops — that is not vanity, it is how the sign is powered.

Leo rules the heart and the upper spine, and both respond to the same thing: whether it is carrying more than it admits. Posture, chest tightness and blood pressure are the places to watch, and they track pride far more closely than diet. Play is not optional for a Leo — an unplayed Leo gets ill in ways a doctor cannot name.

The path is from being admired to being useful, without losing the light on the way. Young Leo needs the applause and usually earns it. The mature one has learned to turn the same warmth outward — and finds, to its surprise, that being the person who makes others shine is the version people actually never forget.
